Scotland Internationals Descend on Deeside RFC

Around 50 members attended the Deeside RFC Royal Bank RugbyForce day on Saturday where a team of adults from the club turned their hands to the many tasks of repair, maintenance and enhancement of the Woodend playing facilities. The day was a great success as part of the community engagement and pre-season preparation of the facilities for the first home game of the season on 7th September.

Following a week-long successful  training camp for the junior and mini team sections at the Woodend facilities in Banchory,  Scotland internationals Tim Visser and Grayson Hart were on hand to support the club’s event. Both Tim and Grayson got “stuck-in” to some training sessions with the youngsters where they earned themselves a well-deserved “cuppa” and some of the home baking that was on offer.

The ladies from the club did try and tempt the Scotland stars to assist them in their painting duties of the facilities before they were both called to fulfil their formal duties to present the certificates to all the youngsters that attended the training camp.
