Micros training cancelled on Saturday 6th March due to unavailability of Scout Hut and continuing weather conditions

Micro Rugby at Deeside RFC includes players, both boys and girls, in Primary 1 through to Primary 3. Micro Rugby is all about fun, lots of running and catching whilst most of the time holding and throwing a rugby ball.
Micro Rugby is non-contact. We use tags attached to belts by Velcro for any games. Removing a tag is like tackling.
We use size 3 balls, which are specifically made for children under the age of 8.
Training Sessions
Training sessions are generally held at Milton of Crathes Events field, Crathes, (behind the railway carriages, beside the Milton restaurant) on Saturday mornings starting at 9:30am and finishing at 10:45am. If the weather is good we sometimes run over as the kids (and coaches!) are having so much fun and like wise if the weather is poor we may finish early.
To access this area you turn into Milton of Crathes car park (off the North Deeside road). Please can parents park their cars in the field to avoid overcrowding of the main car park which is for visitors to the Milton Shops and Restaurant only.
Please go slowly through the gate, turn left and park on the edge of field being careful of any children already on the field.
If too wet, please park on the right hand side of the car park as compactly as you can please. If you have a 4WD, please still use the field as the car park is meant for visitors to the Milton Complex only.
The training will take place in the grassy area between the River Dee and the steam train tracks
In the interests of health and hygiene, NO DOGS are allowed in the field.
Beginning & End of Season
Our 2009/10 season started on Saturday 22nd August and will finish with a tournament in Aboyne in 23rd May
